Choosing fiber optic cable manufacturers in China starts with identifying the legal supplier and the cable construction required by the project. A familiar brand or large corporate workforce does not establish which factory will make the order.
2026 edition — republished and reviewed 13 October 2026. This substantial update uses 2026 interim disclosures covering 1 January–30 June 2026. The underlying article was first published on 27 May 2025; the earlier workforce comparison has been replaced, not relabelled. The reports reviewed here are not full-year 2026 results or evidence of availability on the order date.
This is a documented research starting point, not an independently scored “top ten” ranking or a supplier endorsement. Eight issuer reports provide current reporting-period evidence; Futong remains an explicitly unverified entry. Factory scope, product availability, pricing and delivery still require a current quotation and supporting documents.
Company Profiles From 2026 Interim Disclosures
The profiles distinguish the reporting companies from wider groups and individual manufacturing sites. Website illustrations are archived brand screenshots retained for identification only. They are not 2026 factory photographs, certificates or proof of production capacity; any promotional statements inside them belong to the pictured websites.
Perusahaan Saham Gabungan Serat Optik dan Kabel Yangtze (YOFC)

- Reporting entity: YOFC and its subsidiaries, based in Wuhan, Hubei.
- 2026 reference period: Six months ended 30 June 2026.
- Dated workforce disclosure: Approximately 11,601 full-time employees at 30 June 2026, across the Company and its subsidiaries.1
The interim results describe optical fibre preforms, fibres, fibre cables, optical components and modules, and related products and services. Buying finished cable is a different scope from buying fibre or preforms. The group-wide headcount is not the workforce of one cable factory and does not establish its available output.1
FiberHome Telecommunication Technologies Co., Ltd.

- Reporting entity: FiberHome Telecommunication Technologies, Shanghai stock code 600498, based in Wuhan, Hubei.
- 2026 reference period: 1 January–30 June 2026.2
The interim report places optical fibre and cable activities within a wider ICT business. It discusses optical preform and fibre manufacturing and developments in high-density optical cables and hollow-core fibre. These reported activities are not confirmation that a particular construction is commercially available for your order. Identify the cable-producing subsidiary, site and current datasheet separately.2
Hengtong Optic-Electric Co., Ltd.

- Reporting entity: Hengtong Optic-Electric, Shanghai stock code 600487, based in Suzhou, Jiangsu; distinct from Hengtong Group.
- 2026 reference period: 1 January–30 June 2026.3
The interim report describes communications-network and energy-interconnection businesses. Its optical-communications scope includes the preform–fibre–cable chain and optical components. Broader energy or marine activities should not be treated as evidence for an ordinary optical-cable quotation. Confirm the actual product business and manufacturing site behind the offer.3
Jiangsu Zhongtian Technology Co., Ltd. (ZTT)

- Reporting entity: Jiangsu Zhongtian Technology, Shanghai stock code 600522, based in Nantong, Jiangsu.
- 2026 reference period: 1 January–30 June 2026.4
ZTT reports information-communications and energy-interconnection activities. Its optical scope includes preforms, fibres and cables, with specialty-fibre, high-density-cable and submarine-communications activities discussed alongside broader businesses. Match the enquiry to the relevant cable entity and site rather than treating the listed company’s entire portfolio as one factory’s production range.4
Tongding Interconnection Information Co, Ltd.

- Reporting entity: Tongding Interconnection Information, Shenzhen stock code 002491, based in Suzhou, Jiangsu.
- 2026 reference period: 1 January–30 June 2026.5
The interim report identifies optical/electrical communications and security businesses. The reported product range includes optical preforms, fibres, optical cables, communications cables, railway-signal cables and power cables. This is a wider reporting scope than finished optical cable alone; ask for product-specific documents rather than relying on a corporate description.5
Perusahaan Terbatas Jiangsu Etern

- Reporting entity: Jiangsu Etern, Shanghai stock code 600105, based in Suzhou, Jiangsu; not interchangeable with the wider Etern Group.
- 2026 reference period: 1 January–30 June 2026.6
Etern’s interim report describes a preform–fibre–cable chain extending into specialty fibres, optical components and network-related activities. The disclosed cable range includes communications, specialty, indoor, drop and hybrid cables. Other businesses include wiring harnesses and power-related products or engineering. Use the responsible subsidiary’s current documentation for the exact construction under consideration.6
Shenzhen SDG Information Co., Ltd. (SDGI)

- Reporting entity: Shenzhen SDG Information, Shenzhen stock code 000070, based in Shenzhen, Guangdong.
- 2026 reference period: 1 January–30 June 2026.7
The interim report separates cable activities from smart services, convergence businesses and property/asset operations. The cable scope includes optical fibres, optical cables, connectors, distribution products and data cables, alongside conductor-related products. Multiple operating entities are involved. The listed-company identity therefore does not by itself identify the factory responsible for a cable batch.7
Scope Check: Jiangsu Zhongli Group Co., Ltd.

- Reporting entity: Jiangsu Zhongli Group, Shenzhen stock code 002309, based in Changshu, Jiangsu.
- 2026 reference period: 1 January–30 June 2026.8
The interim report describes specialty-cable and photovoltaic activities. Its product discussion includes photoelectric composite cables within a wider cable portfolio. That is a narrower, identifiable statement than assuming a general standalone fibre-optic-cable range. Keep Zhongli as a scope-check entry: request a current optical or hybrid-cable datasheet and identify the actual manufacturing entity before shortlisting it for that requirement.8
Evidence Pending: Futong Group

No comparable 2026 issuer disclosure was verified for this edition. Futong is retained as a name from the earlier article, not included as a confirmed 2026-data profile. No current headcount, output, financial standing or availability is inferred from historical material. This evidence gap is not a finding that the company has ceased supplying products; obtain current legal-entity and product documents before using the name in a supplier comparison.
Compare 2026 Evidence Before Shortlisting a Supplier

Source example: the reporting-period heading from page 1 of YOFC’s interim-results announcement. This is a genuine crop of the original document, with wording unchanged. It illustrates the period being reported, not a full-year result or factory certification.1
Keep the Report Period With the Claim
The evidence matrix below uses 2026 interim reports covering the first half of the year. Business descriptions refer to those reports, not a live audit of every production site. The companies have different reporting boundaries, and the table is not a market-share, quality, capacity or financial-strength ranking.
| Reporting entity | Evidence period | Relevant disclosed scope and buyer boundary |
|---|---|---|
| YOFC | Six months ended 30 June 20261 | Preforms, fibres, fibre cables and optical components; group scope is not a single factory |
| FiberRumah | 1 January–30 June 20262 | Fibre/cable activities within a wider ICT business; confirm the cable-producing entity |
| Hengtong Optic-Electric | 1 January–30 June 20263 | Optical-communications chain within communications and energy businesses; not the entire Hengtong Group |
| ZTT | 1 January–30 June 20264 | Optical-communications products within broader communications/energy activities; verify the relevant site |
| Tongding | 1 January–30 June 20265 | Optical/electrical communications and security; not optical cable alone |
| Abadi | 1 January–30 June 20266 | Optical fibre/cable and related products within a broader listed-company portfolio |
| SDGI | 1 January–30 June 20267 | Cable business alongside other operations; identify the responsible operating entity |
| Zhongli — scope check | 1 January–30 June 20268 | Specialty cables, including photoelectric composite cables; verify standalone optical-cable scope separately |
| Futong — evidence pending | 2026 disclosure not verified | Not counted as a verified current-data profile; request current supplier documents |
YOFC’s approximately 11,601 full-time employees are explicitly dated to 30 June 2026. Comparable current-period workforce totals were not verified for the other profiles, so the old workforce comparison is not carried forward. Missing verification is not a zero value, and headcount does not establish cable-factory capacity.1
Refresh the Evidence for the Actual 2026 Order
Use the profiles as a starting point, then check the evidence at the proposed order date:
- Match the legal names on the quotation, contract and supplier documents, and identify the actual manufacturing site.
- Request the latest applicable disclosure and current product documentation. Record both the document date and the underlying reporting period.
- Obtain a dated quotation for the specified construction, quantity, testing, delivery and warranty scope. An interim report does not establish present capacity or lead time.
- Recheck evidence-pending and scope-check entries instead of filling gaps with assumptions.
The review date of 13 October 2026 is this article’s editorial date, not an assertion that any supplier has passed a factory audit on that day. Newer disclosures should be evaluated on their own reporting period; do not present first-half data as year-end 2026 results.
Specify the Cable Before Comparing Offers
Start with the installation environment, fibre specification and count, cable construction, sheath, delivered length and packaging. A supplier-list entry does not establish that the quoted cable fits the project. The jelly-filled versus dry-core fibre cable comparison helps separate water-blocking options that must be stated in the enquiry.
Ask each candidate for evidence for the actual order:
- The legal supplier name, manufacturing site and responsibility for any subcontracted production.
- A current datasheet and drawing for the quoted construction, including agreed fibre and material requirements.
- Sample or qualification records linked to that construction, rather than an unrelated product or generic certificate.
- Test methods, acceptance limits and batch records to accompany delivery. The fibre optic cable testing guide separates the test task from a generic “tested” claim.
- Written quantity, delivery, payment, warranty and claims-handling terms for the exact contracting entity.
These are procurement checks, not claims that the companies above have already passed them. Price and capacity comparisons require current offers with the same construction and delivery scope. This guide does not assign star ratings or guarantee the cheapest or most reliable supplier.
Separate Finished-Cable Sourcing From Machinery Procurement
If the project is to build or expand a cable factory, a finished-cable manufacturer list is not an equipment configuration. The fibre optic cable production-line overview maps cable families to process routes and equipment considerations.
HONGKAI Cable Machinery is the publishing and machinery-supply/project-integration brand for this guide, not the manufacturer of the companies’ cables listed above. No partnership, agency appointment or authorization is implied by inclusion. Keep the finished-cable supplier, actual manufacturer, equipment provider and contracting party distinct in each project record.
