Executive Summary
This benchmark compares double-twist and triple-twist LAN pair machines under matched lay/back-twist conditions. Triple twist delivers +20% throughput و +3 dB NEXT margin while reducing scrap by 30%. Dataset (CSV) and methods (PDF) are provided for replication.
Methods
- Equipment: HK-DT-800 (double), HK-TT-500 (triple); calibrated NEXT analyzer.
- Cable: Cat6 UTP pairs, 24 AWG; lay 12 mm; back-twist 100%.
- Repeats: 20 per machine type.
- Metrics: Throughput (pairs/min), NEXT margin (dB), lay stability, scrap rate.
